<P>To increase the commercial value of oleaginous fungus Mortierella alpina by incorporation of trans-10,cis-12 conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) into the polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) of M. alpina via Propionibacterium acnes isomerase (PAI) conversion.</P>
